Smash Palace

This New Jersey based band featuring siblings Steven and Brian Butler, plays the type of exceptionally smart, tuneful, Beatles damaged Power Pop that just can't seem to get a break in the marketplace. The band landed a couple of different major label deals in the late 1980s that ended in the usual cul-de-sac that is record company politics. The two never allowed business disappointment to stop them from crafting songs that combine the best part of Revolver era Beatles with the Raspberries and the Ramones. Their music is full of winsome harmonies, tough backbeats and guitar that shimmer, crunch and twang.
