Though we didn't hear from them in the States until 2007, British thrashers Short Sharp Shock (SSS) were formed in 2005 and released their debut album on their side of the pond the following year. These skate enthusiasts -- vocalist Foxy, guitarist Pete "Broomo" Broom, bassist Mark Magill and drummer Dave Ferguson -- were enamored of crossover thrash and sought to replicate a brew of hardcore punk mixed with speed metal fit for the burgeoning revival. Garnering small attention on Earache Records' Thrashing Like a Maniac compilation, SSS released their sophomore album, The Dividing Line, in 2008 to a wider audience.
