Released:
Label: Earache Records Ltd
For crossover thrash, the U.K. isn't really a flagship location, but SSS are working hard to change that with this ripping sophomore release. Packing in all the speed-fueled guitars and hardcore fury of early thrash, this 32-minute-long neck cramp only stops for a breath -- literally -- halfway through ("Purple Reign"). With guitar anthem interludes ("Hammerhead,"), skate hymns ("Ride the Best -- F*ck the Rest"), balls-to-the-wall thrashers ("Toxic Bee") and the hilariously titled, slower-paced "Thrash with a Small Mustache," these new schoolers showcase a surprisingly eclectic style.
