Static-X remains as unrelentingly unhinged as ever with this, their third album since forming way back in 1997. Known for blurry metal licks countered by pulsing techno beats and the ever-unsettling vocals of Wayne Static, this band may reside in the mainstream, yet its relentlessly in-the-red music is anything but. Basically if your kids are listening to Static-X, you might want to rethink your parental strategies. If you're a kid listening to this, well, you're gonna be pretty cool when you grow up. Just don't kill anybody.
