Stephane Pompougnac

French downtempo house composer Stephane Pompougnac is an electronic musician who first began deejaying in and around Paris in the 1990s at clubs including Le Queen, Privilege and Diable des Lombards. A chance encounter with a Paris hotel owner brought international fame to Pompougnac when he was asked to mix a downtempo-lounge compilation. Thus was born the hugely popular Hotel Costes mix series. In 2003, Pompougnac took his talents into the studio and created his first original album, Living on the Edge. The stylish, lounge-inspired album made Pompougnac a chill-out star. He continues to produce and mix the Hotel Costes series as well as release his own original material.
