Bingo! (Bonus Tracks)
Released: Jun 2010
Label: Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud
Though Miller has characterized his first album in 17 years as suitable for play at '60s frat parties, it's not frantic enough to inspire much drunken twisting in togas. Simply put, it's a blues-rock record: 14 tracks in its "special edition," including standbys from Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, three Kings (B.B., Earl, Freddie) and two Vaughans (Jimmie, Stevie Ray.) Lowell Fulson's "Tramp" and Jessie Hill's "Ooh Poo Pah Doo" are funkiest, and the four bonus cuts most badass. Lots of guitar, of course, but not the show-off variety -- four songs check in under three minutes, and none exceed 3:47.
