Let Your Hair Down

Having long earned the right to teach you his roots in a glorified sports-bar band, Steve fills this album with blues covers, just like on its 2010 predecessor, Bingo!. A James Brown rip from Junior Wells and Buddy Guy and another funky dance tune from Jimmy McCracklin energize him most, and he lets some of his early '70s pop sense seep into Slim Harpo and Roscoe Gordon numbers. Bo Diddley provides him the toughest groove, Muddy Waters the raunchiest guitar.
