BiographyAs frontman for the Negro Problem, one of L.A.'s premiere Power Pop bands, Stew sang his way into the hearts of countless pop lovers. On his own, there are snatches of that exuberant pop, but his solo sound is a more varied affair. The singer-songwriter offers gentle, acoustic folk with a nod to bards such as Nick Drake, while other songs are shaded with old school soul. Amazingly, Stew handles each style with considerable style and aplomb.
