Stillwater

Fictional band who star in Cameron Crowe's film Almost Famous (2000). Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Crowe's wife Nancy Wilson (of Heart) are the creative forces behind Stillwater, which features McCready on vocals. The twosome offer a grungy Hard Rock sound that, combined with McCready's nasal whine, sounds a bit like McCready's former band Mother Love Bone. In fact, it's kind of eerie how much he sounds like the late Andrew Wood (MLB vocalist), which is high praise indeed.
