Despite Corey Taylor's demanding day job as lead singer for Slipknot, he's found the time to turn his other project, Stone Sour, into a modern-rock juggernaut. The group's third album, Audio Secrecy, is its most accomplished and developed to date. Unlike Slipknot, who specialize in churning out one mosh-pit hymn after another, Stone Sour infuse their brute strength with melody. Their songs also take more cues from classic rock in terms of arranging and variety of sounds. Nevertheless, the group can unleash The Heavy when they feel like it; simply check out "Nylon 6/6" and "Hate Not Gone."
