The Healing is hip-hop you might hear at a spa. "Good Times," "Cali Cruisin'" and "Get Live" are free and wispy -- unsubstantial albeit enjoyable. It's like urban impressionism: sunny vibes, light beats, pedestrian themes and Erykah Badu. The ostensibly transcendental "Liberation" sounds like a song Goodie Mob might record if they spent a few weeks relaxing in the Cali sun. For fans of positive, sample-based hip-hop, this is a find.
