Santa Barbara's Sugarcult take the opening track from Elvis Costello's seminal 1978 album, This Year's Model, and buff it with So-Cal surfboard wax and a youthful optimism that overrides Costello's cynical intent. Grinding guitars, jumpy drums and clean-cut vocals skate through a track that's pretty hard to screw up.
