Sukay

Sukay play Andean folk music notable for use of the pan-pipe, an instrument that predates the appearance of Europeans in South America. This ensemble, who have recorded and toured extensively since the mid-1970s, use light, melancholy-tinged melodies as a staple. The charango (a five-string guitar) is strummed happily to steady one-drum beats as flutes and pipes chirp away.
