Susan Tedeschi is beautiful and sexy, yet she howls, grunts and wails as if she's missing half her teeth and spent her teenage years drifting in and out of family court. Tedeschi is known as a blues singer, but Back to the River is straight-up classic rock, as sweaty and righteous as Rod Stewart-era Jeff Beck Group, Delaney & Bonnie and early Humble Pie.
