Lighter than a feather, Talib's second single for his 2007 album, Eardrum, is engineered for smart club chicks and the metrosexual hip-hop heads who lust after them. Will.i.am.'s production slinks into a lite, early-'80s groove (think Quincy through Pharrell), while Talib runs down all the little things about the "sunshine of my life" that get him "stiff like a hieroglyph." The pop focus may be repelling for longtime fans, but it's undoubtedly catchy and quickly grows on you.
