American Idol's Taylor Hicks isn't going to get his "Soul Patrol" to rock out on this ballad, but his passionate, gravelly vocals make for a powerful, if syrupy, tune. Hicks performed "Do I Make Your Proud" the night before his victory, and afterward the judges (rightly) said that he was better than the song. But sale proceeds go to the Red Cross, so it's not all bad!
