The mellower Ted Nugent that presented himself with 1982's Nugent is promptly put in a shallow grave here, from the scathing intro to "Tied Up in Love," a Bad Company meets Creatures of the Night-era Kiss winner that may not have been a hit in 1983, but sure sounds like one. Other Ted Nugent hallmarks -- beginning songs with wailing feedback (a move that goes all the way back to his Amboy Dukes days), machine-gun guitar blasts crammed into every possible corner and a song called "Thunder Thighs" -- almost obliterate the unfortunate '80s obsession with synthesizers.
