Tenth Avenue North came out of the gate with a bang. Less than a year after their May 2008 debut, the band was not only named New Artist of the Year at the 40th Annual Dove Awards, but also had two hit singles. They'd come far from the days when Palm Beach Atlantic University students Mike Donehey and Jason Jamison started a band named after the street where they lived in off-campus housing. A few years and a few members later (they added guitarist Jeff Owen and bassist Scott Sanders), they were really on their way. All four members spent time on staff at local churches, instilling in the band a commitment not just to entertain with their melodic pop-rock, but to help people encounter truth.
