A thicker, muddier blend of early '90s shoegazer pop, Th' Faith Healers arrived with an attitude that was more swampy than starry-eyed. Their elongated, organ-laced drones could be as crunching as they could be atmospheric. Roxanne Stephen's snaky vocals slithered underneath and around a chaotic, rumbling version of pop that occasionally spat out blasts of distortion. Th' Faith Healers were a full-steam-ahead sparking pop band that knew how to hide sweet melodies within churning layers of tension. Their music veered towards spiraling out of control, but the reigns were always held in by the band's agility with stop/start dynamics. Disbanding in 1994, founding member Tony Cullinan went on to form Quickspace Supersport.
