Biography
The Avengers exploded onto the Bay Area scene in the late '70s like a flash flood of hot lava. Their lean and vicious bursts of fury, fueled as much by Danny Furious' fiery guitar as they were by Penelope Houston's socially damning lyrics and snapping vocals, remain a timeless snapshot of raw energy. With only a handful of releases to their credit, the Avengers nevertheless raised the bar for Punk.
