The Baldwin Brothers

Intending no pun on the acting family's surname, this Chicago-based duo does, however, make music with a sense of humor. Although the Baldwin Brothers officially formed in the mid-1990s, drummer/programmer Jason Hinkle and keyboardist TJ Widner have been partners in music since junior high school. Lovers of lounge, jazz, funk, soul, dance and 1970s pop culture, Hinkle and Widner create hip, reliably groovy pop songs for fans of Badly Drawn Boy, early Dimitri from Paris, Money Mark and Beck. The Baldwins are often fortified by the talents of such distinctive vocalists as Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto and Gorillaz, Angie Hart of Frente!, and Geri Soriano Lightwood of Supreme Beings of Leisure.
