Released:
Label: The Biscuit Brothers
This Austin band has been bringing hillbilly music to PBS on their good-natured, eponymous TV show. Musical Farm is geared to younger kids, but these guys aren't shy about making a joke for adults: they play "Polly Wolly Doodle" to the instrumental backing of the Beatles' "Get Back." (Which isn't exactly funny, if you think about it, though it is kind of clever.) The best thing on this wholesome album is "Three Blind Mice," but the group happily covers many bases here.
