Biography
Formed in July 2002, the Oxford, Ala.-based quintet the Bridges (not to be confused with the active musical outfits in Houston and Toledo by the same name) is led by the voice and songwriting of Brittany Painter. Painter is backed up by four musical cousins -- Natalie, Stacey, Jeremy and Isaaca Byrd -- who grew up in North Carolina and transplanted to Oxford. Their first LP, Limits of the Sky, was issued in 2008 on Verve Forecast.
