Close to You was their popular breakthrough and their self-titled third LP is highlighted by "Rainy Days and Mondays," showing exactly why Karen Carpenter was the best singer of her generation. A Song for You has the Stepford Wife-ish "Top of the World," but otherwise holds up quite nicely.
