Among the many bands attempting to resurrect the chaotic power of early punk, the Casualties play a truer form of the music than most of their peers. This spastic live show finds the long-running, revolving-door lineup of New Yorkers on their home turf, spitting out high speed fits and covering the major points in their career. The vocals, when not shouted in unison, are absolutely unhinged, the stage banter is pretty damn funny, with the crowd eating it up, and the guitars are played with that barely-held-together mania that defines this sound. "Ugly Bastard" is a blast.
