It's amazing the amount of shiny, musical nuggets you can unearth by digging deeper into the fertile roots of the Byrds' family tree. When they were letting Gram Parsons drive the band into cosmic American musical realms, their original frontman Gene Clark was recording with Doug Dillard from the Dillards. Slightly prior to all this, the Dillards dared to blend rock and bluegrass, which bore the ripe fruits of this awesome album. Check the beautiful cover of Tim Hardin's "Reason to Believe."
