Dainty twosome the Ditty Bops hone their 21st century take on old-timey tunes with this follow-up to their 2004 debut. Mandolins, brushed drums and stand-up bass dance a soft-shoe with the saccharine vocal harmonies of Abby DeWald and Amanda Barrett, making for ragtime numbers both jaunty and dreamy. Though they take their cues from a bygone age of speakeasies and vaudeville, these Soggy Bottom Girls reside in Los Angeles, a fact that explains this record's distinctly cosmopolitan charms.
