Biography

The Expendables are a Santa Cruz, Calif.-based surf- and skate-punk band that combines ska, punk, reggae and metal. Founded in 1997, the quartet recorded a handful of self-released albums and built up a rabid local following before signing to Slightly Stoopid's label in 2007 with The Expendables. After that breakout album, they toured heavily with bands like NOFX, Less Than Jake, Pennywise and eventually 311, after which they returned to the studio. As of 2010, the band had laid down the beginnings of a new album with producer Paul Leary (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Supersuckers) at Encinitas' Big Fish Studios.
