An ingratiating band from Cork, Ireland, the Frank and Walters had the right sound at the wrong time. Too late for the alternative guitar pop scene of the 1980s (they cover the Smiths' "Cemetery Gates" here) but the F&Ws came on the scene too early for the jangle pop resurgence in the early 2000s. That just means indie fans are stupid and fickle, while the band was smart. This set features 24 singles, B-sides and rarities, making for a real treat.
