The Cure's Robert Smith and the Banshees' Steve Severin took a break to record this curious scattershot ode to acid itself, rather than the entire psychedelic era. The original album combined ambient instrumentals with vocals from Robert Smith and Jeanette Landray (the often preferable CD bonus cuts place Smith's voice into all the songs). A must for Cure fans, the title is taken from a 1970s flick about a strain of LSD that turns former users into bald homicidal maniacs.
