About The Heath Brothers

Brothers Jimmy, Percy, and Albert Heath are all jazz stars in their own right. Starting in the late '70s, they recorded a series of albums exploring an always bright mixture of forward thinking Hard Bop. It's a family affair, with different guests on each release, but saxophonist Jimmy Heath takes many of the writing and arranging chores on himself. While most of us fight with our siblings about who got the bigger piece of pie, these guys spin out crackling tunes by the bucket full.
