The Leroi Brothers

The very epitome of Texas bar band music, this band has been in existence for nearly twenty years. The constants in the band are singer-songwriter (and multi-instrumentalist) Steve Doerr and drummer Mike Buck. Doerr sings in a rangy baritone voice, sounding at home singing Rockabilly, Swamp Pop, Garage Rock or any other Texas music hybrid you care to come up with. Buck, original drummer for the Fabulous Thunderbirds and a veteran of countless Texas blues, rock and country bands, is a wonderfully loose and low-down player (and maniacal record collector) who supplies the band with some of their more offbeat cover songs. The band members blend all of their influences into a raw, rocking sound that immediately evokes smoke, spilled beer and sweat.
