The Like

Formed in L.A. before its members were out of high school, the Like are a pop-friendly indie rock band made up of three teenage girls: Charlotte Froom, Tennessee Thomas and Z. Berg, all of whom have famous music industry fathers who may have greased the wheels a bit when they signed to a major label in 2005. But through three self-released EPs and a Geffen debut, the girls have proven themselves worthy of any possible helping hand they may have received. The band specializes in dreamy indie pop derived from the sort of radio fare the Sundays hit with in the 1990s, but with the occasional guitar muscle. In the end, the Like are all about vocal harmonies and they are good at them.
