The Modernist

German producer Jorg Burger specializes in smooth, minimal Techno that jettisons all traces of aggressiveness for a streamlined (and dare we say modern?) sound that owes as much to classic Krautrock as it does to the Detroit blueprint. Clean, repetitive beats chug away like a finely tuned engine, upon which stark melodic sketches are crafted as carefully as a Swiss watch. It's all very precise, but also warm and inviting.
