Much like Toad the Wet Sprocket, the Ocean Blue's ceruleanic, almost dreamy Adult Alternative pop had some popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their songs are strong in subtle Power Pop melodies and wholesome lyrics the whole family can enjoy. Singer/guitar player David Schelzel's voice often inflects in a baritone/tenor range and a throaty vocal tone.
