So we went from retro-post-punk to retro-Madchester to retro-electro to retro-electronica? OK. That works, especially since Portishead has also released another album. If the dawn of chill-out music/ambient house was your time to shine, get The Dream, which sees the Orb going retro, of course. The best tracks, like "DDD (Dirty Dance Disco)" and "Vuja De," ditch the overused obscure media samples for funky vox, both male and female.
