The Presets will make you dance like it's the end of the world, or the Apocalypso. On their 2006 debut, Beams, the Australian duo ranged from electro to dance-rock which veered with weird glitchy detours. Their follow-up is more focused and has a sweaty nightclub entirely in its sights. From the first acid squelch of "Kicking and Screaming" and "yeah, yeah, yeah" chant on "My People", the album throbs with four-on-the-floor scuz-disco and synth-pop. Only on "If I Know You" does the pace decelerate briefly to catch momentary breath.
