A sepia-hued Christmas album by the top Andrews Sisters impersonation act? Yes, please! Everything screams classic -- or, rather, coos it, in tightly-knit, kitten-sweet harmonies. Most deliciously ironic (the Puppinis' favorite flavor) are the "Puppinized" takes on new classics like "Last Christmas" and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which becomes first a steel guitar-driven ballad and then a New Orleans jazz, juke-joint-ready romp. The conceit can start to wear a little thin by the end, but for the most part the Puppinis deliver a joyful, whimsical season's greetings.
