Queens Of Noise

Queens Of Noise by The Runaways
Released: Mar 2010
Label: Island Mercury
The Runaways continued to bridge the gap between punk and hard rock while employing the greatest rock 'n' roll gimmick ever with their second album, released in 1977. Decidedly more metallic and less glammy than their debut, Queens of Noise boasts some of Lita Ford's best guitar playing and songs almost as wall-punchingly awesome as "Cherry Bomb," specifically, "I Love Playin' with Fire," "Neon Angels on the Road to Ruin" and "California Paradise." The Runaways matured beyond that gimmick here and came off as a bona fide rock band fully able, and determined, to kick ass.
