Think of the USA is a Monster's Tasheyana Compost as a soundtrack for an imaginary comic book about Rush and Black Flag hanging with an army of Nez Perce warriors. The New York duo's intricately designed prog-noise anthems are total Wagnerian bombast attacking with hardcore aggression and stutter-stepping across the mosh pit as tribal agit-funk. And the lyrical content is a fantastical and really quite innocent kind of poetry about Native American folklore, the environment and the downfall of the United States. There exists nothing else like this strange, little disc in the whole of modern rock.
