Are there any good songs on this extremely comprehensive collection besides the legendarily saucy "Turning Japanese"? Does it matter? The truth is, the few people who actually do have the Vapors' power-popping new wave debut from 1980 know that it isn't so bad; in fact, the Vapors deserved far more than just one-hit wonder status. But when that one hit is destined to go down in history as one of the great victories for free speech, and possibly the biggest joke ever pulled on American censors, well, it's not so bad a fate.
