Walking in the no man’s land bordered by Synth Pop, Ambient, and Dance Pop, Wisdom Of Harry work peculiarly moody ‘80s dance rhythms, synth strings, acoustic guitar and percussive embellishments into darkly melodic, traditional verse/chorus soundscapes with hushed, smoky narratives. WOH’s familiar, albeit derivative brand of urban pop makes great city soundtracks and (for better or worse) requires a minimal listening investment.
