The Wreckers: The Rhapsody Interview (Exclusive)

Jul 2006

Biography

The Wreckers are Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp. Like SHeDAISY or pre-backlash Dixie Chicks, the Wreckers play harmony-laden twang pop that yearns to crossover into many different realms of commercial radio. This is not a bad thing, especially when you consider that the band had its big break on the popular television show One Tree Hill, when its first single "The Good Kind" was featured not only on the show itself, but on the program's soundtrack compilation. Before the Wreckers came into being, Branch was enjoying the fruits of a successful solo career while Harp was getting by touring as a backing singer for various Nashville acts.
