Another literate, adult-friendly kids album from a band that can't seem to run out of ideas for clever, short songs. This is TMBG's natural habitat. Faced with numbers one through ten (and a few beyond that), the duo turns the songs into poignant snapshots, investigating the secret life of the number six...or the story of a boy who lives in apartment four. When you get to the roller-skate funk they attribute to the number five (think "up high, down low, in the middle..."), you'll melt. At times surprisingly affecting, at times a little irritating, these guys get it just about right.
