Throwdown

Formed amid the OC hardcore scene in 1997, Throwdown is a straight-edge band that, because of the unhinged heaviness of their records (five so far) often gets tossed in with pure metal bands, although the band considers their music to be hardcore. Regardless of categorization, Throwdown has been a force in heavy music since their full-length debut in '98, for Indecision Records. Through lineup changes that have seen the band trade members several times with metalcore big shots Eighteen Visions, spots on the Ozzfest and Warped tours and in support of Swedish melody-metal band In Flames, Throwdown has remained true to their straight-edge ideals and apparent dedication to total sonic devastation.
