Learning his mixing skills at his Saturday job in Time Is Right records in Chapel Market Islington, Deluxe forged connections that lead to the foundation of Ice Cream Records, a Speed garage imprint, and released "Rip Groove" under the 'Double 99' moniker with Omar Amidora. By 2001 Deluxe had gone solo to pursue a more Latin inspired house sound, and his first track "Sirens" was picked up by Darren Emerson for Underwater Records. His follow up single "It Just Won't Do" was released in July 2002 and quickly became a club classic, even reaching number 14 in the UK top 40 charts, along with winning best Ibiza anthem in the 2002 Muzik Awards. Remixing work followed, including Kylie's "Can't Get you Out of My Head" and Layo and Bushwacka's "Love Story", another UK chart hit at number 8. Deluxe has an ear for what works on the dancefloor. His releases and remixes are catchy, chunky and high-energy uplifting house, with plenty of bass to ensure the girls are always ready to dance. Most recently he has released his debut artist album The Little Ginger Club Kid and continued to promote his Ibiza Underwater residency. We dare you to remain seated when he's on.
