Hang On To A Dream: The Verve Recordings
Tim Hardin
Released:
Jan 1994
Label:
HIP-O (PG)/Fontana
Tim Hardin was an amazing songwriter whose first albums for Verve contained some of the best pop-fueled folk songs of the 1960s. His sad blues-y voice exudes a dark soul that gets overlooked in the history books (although his songwriting skills are not). Sure, you know "If I Were a Carpenter," but check out "Misty Roses" or "It'll Never Happen Again."
