Tin Hat shed a member (accordionist Rob Burger) then gained three more before snipping Trio from their name. The expansion of the group yields its richest recording yet, adding bewitching cabaret vocals ("Daisy Bell"), clarinet swing and experimental harpist Zeena Parkins. The enchanting other-era mix of gypsy guitar, organic keyboard creaks and bicycle bells amidst alluring violins, chamber strings, glockenspiel, trumpet and playful jabs of avant-edginess is only enhanced with the additional collaboration.
