Despite a trite title, Toby Lightman's sophomore album is hardly sophomoric. It sounds like she's lived, loved and learned a lot in the two years since her debut. Not that 2004's Little Things is immature, but 2006's Bird On A Wire sounds light years more advanced. She has tapped into Rufus-inspired funk rhythms while retaining her soulful New York flavor.
