Tokio Hotel

A major sensation in Germany, Austria and parts of Europe, Tokio Hotel is most notable for the fact that the band was founded by twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz when they were 12. The band has assumed a place in the hearts of zillions of teenage girls across Europe on the strength of singles from its first two albums, Schrei and Zimmer 438, released in 2005 and 2007, respectively. In a 2008 attempt to break into the U.S. market, the band offered Scream, a polished collection of emo rock songs from the previous albums re-recorded and sung in English for the first time. They followed that up with 2009's more synth-pop, sci-fi-infused Humanoid.
